Buffalo Sabres goalie prospect Devon Levi considers himself fortunate. In his one career appearance against Alex Ovechkin, the greatest goal scorer in NHL history never landed his wicked one-timer on net. “I’m one of the lucky ones,” joked Levi, who has spent most of this season starring for the Rochester Americans. kAm~? }@G] aa[ a_ab[ {6G: >256 ae D2G6D :? 9:D `dE9 DE2CE 7@C E96 $23C6D[ 2 c\b @G6CE:>6 C@25 =@DD E@ ~G649<:?’D (2D9:?8E@? r2A:E2=D]k^Am kAm~G649<:? In his one career appearance against Alex Ovechkin, the greatest goal scorer in NHL history never landed his wicked one-timer on net. “I’m one of the lucky ones,” joked Levi, who has spent most of this season starring for the Rochester Americans. On Nov. 22, 2023, Levi made 26 saves in his 15th start for the Sabres, a 4-3 overtime road loss to Ovechkin’s Washington Capitals. Ovechkin registered four shots on goal that night.

BUFFALO – Sabres defenseman Owen Power suffered what appears to be a serious injury when Florida Panthers center Carter Verhaeghe fell on his left leg in Saturday’s 3-2 shootout loss, coach Lindy Ruff said. “Don’t really have a time frame yet, but it looks to be (serious),” Ruff said of Power’s lower-body injury prior to Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at KeyBank Center. kAm!@H6C’D D62D@?[ @7 4@FCD6[ :D @G6C] #F77 D2:5 E96 J@F?8DE6C H@F=5 36 6G2=F2E65 282:?

BUFFALO – So much for that late-season optimism the Sabres had been generating. Suddenly, they’ve lost four straight games. Not that they’ve been performing poorly, mind you. No, they’ve led in three of those contests and lost once in a shootout. They haven’t been finding ways to win like they did beginning in mid-March.

BUFFALO – By his 71st appearance, Sabres defenseman Connor Clifton couldn’t get that goose egg attached to his name out of his head. As a defenseman the Sabres value for his gritty play, they don’t expect him to produce much offense. Still, he wanted to score at least one goal this season. “I was thinking about it, trying to get that zero to one,” he said prior to Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at KeyBank Center.
