SPOONER — June is Dairy Month in Wisconsin, and in Washburn County, the tradition is celebrated at the Tri-County Dairy Breakfast, presented by Washburn County Fair Board. This year, the Dairy Breakfast will be held Saturday, June 14, from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Washburn County Fairgrounds. The Fairgrounds are located at 8000 West Beaverbrook Ave. in Spooner, right next to the Spooner Rodeo Arena.

SPOONER – The 2025 high school softball season came to a sudden end for the Spooner Rails girls as they fell 5-4 at Northwestern in the WIAA Division 3 Regional on May 29. “We found ourselves down 1 after the third inning but responded in the top of the 4th when Ava Thompson reached on a single, stole second, followed by a single from Annalie Lindgren, who then stole second,” said coach Brian Amys. “Leaving the Rails 2nd and 3rd with one out.”kAmr9=@6 $H@?86C 9:E 2 b\CF? 9@>6 CF?
