He told the Executive Committee this was because he felt the updated public comment policy at open meetings stripped elected officials of their constitutional discretionary powers as chairs of committees and public servants.

TREGO — Eight graduates from the 2025 Leadership Washburn County (LWC) class were honored and shared their experiences on Thursday, May 1, at Strongman Smokehouse in Trego. LWC is a nine-month program in which participants learn about all aspects of the county and grow their leadership skills.
