(KALB) — Concerned citizens gathered in Jena at the Central Louisiana ICE Processing Center located at the LaSalle Detention Facility on Tuesday, April 15, in support of Columbia University activist Mahmoud Khalil. Khalil was arrested by Homeland Security agents and has been in federal custody since March 8. Recently, a federal immigration judge in Jena allowed the Trump administration to move forward with its effort to deport him.
