Friends, family and staff gathered Monday afternoon at Regional Medical Center for a chapel dedication in honor of longtime Chaplain Jim Wilson. For 26 years, Wilson offered comfort, strength and spiritual guidance to patients and employees. Now, as he battles cancer, the hospital is giving back by renovating the chapel in his name. HEFLIN - A high-speed pursuit that began in Tallapoosa, Georgia, crossed state lines and ended in Calhoun County late Friday night, with one man in custody facing multiple felony charges. The chase started around 10:30 p.m. on April 11 when officers with the Tallapoosa Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Alex Potts, 44, of Heflin.
