    HEFLIN - A 67-year-old Heflin man was arrested June 13 after Cleburne County deputies seized a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, multiple firearms and drug paraphernalia during a narcotics search at a residence on County Road 41. According to a news release from the Cleburne County Sheriff's Department, the search was part of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity.

    ANNISTON - In a proclamation recognizing Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month, the City Council acknowledged Youth Council President Luke McVeigh, who has Tourette syndrome. The proclamation states that Tourette syndrome affecting up to one in 50 children is often accompanied by other mental health conditions.     ANNISTON — This week, the classrooms of Randolph Park Elementary School weren’t just filled with students; teachers were learning, too.
