LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A stationary front has set up along the Kansas-Nebraska border and this boundary will trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms across Nebraska over the next couple of days. A few isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible. Although temperatures on Tuesday will be a bit below average, it will still be humid. A marginal risk of severe weather for most of Nebraska on Tuesday. Isolated severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon and into the overnight hours.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Temperatures across Nebraska will be much warmer Thursday afternoon with mostly sunny skies. There is a small chance for an isolated thunderstorm or two late this afternoon and continuing into Thursday night. An upper-level high pressure system will build into the plains Friday through Sunday and that means sunny skies and hot temperatures. Excessive heat watch for central and eastern Nebraska Friday morning through Sunday evening.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Cooler temperatures expected Tuesday, but still a bit humid. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day with the best chance later in the afternoon and evening. Lingering showers possible early Wednesday morning with decreasing clouds in the afternoon. Hot temperatures return on Thursday and will continue through the weekend. Heat indices could be above one hundred degrees at times Friday through Sunday.

Thunderstorms will be possible in western Nebraska late this afternoon and evening and some of the storms could be severe. Hot temperatures on Saturday with scattered thunderstorms possible. Not as hot Sunday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Severe weather will be possible today in western Nebraska Friday afternoon and evening.

Marginal risk of severe weather for northern and western Nebraska Thursday. Slight risk of severe weather mainly in western Nebraska on Friday.
