The first Democratic primary debate in the race for New York City mayor is Wednesday, with a crowd of nine candidates looking to make their case to voters that they should be the party's candidate in the November election. It is the first time Andrew Cuomo will be squaring off against the other candidates, most (if not all) of whom will be targeting the former New York governor, who has been leading in the polls.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority has unveiled the first major change to the famed New York City subway map since 1979. The historic map commuters are used to seeing on subway cars and in stations across the five boroughs will be phased out in the coming weeks and replaced with the new version. The new maps incorporate feedback from riders and include bright, bold colors for each subway line and more clearly indicate transfer hubs.

The Terminator is looking a lot more jolly these days. Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was spotted Tuesday filming a new holiday movie on Fifth Avenue in Midtown. The star is shooting a turn as "Santa" for a new Amazon Studios film called "The Man with the Bag."Schwarzenegger was seen crossing Fifth Avenue at 50th Street by Saks with co-star Alan Ritchson. Many social media users commented on Schwarzenegger's changed look with his white beard and hair.

At least one person was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a NJ Transit bus Friday morning in Union, New Jersey, according to NJ Transit. A NJ Transit bus was hit head on by a car going in the opposite direction that then swerved in front of it around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Stuyvesant Ave. and Stanley Terrace, the transit agency said. NJ Transit said fifteen people sought medical treatment and one person was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
