LANSING, Mich. — We're tracking severe storms with possible hail, wind, and tornadoes. In addition to those severe threats there will be frequent lightning and torrential rainfall. Expect a warm and humid day. A powerful low pressure spinning to our north over Lake Superior will drag a cold front through early Wednesday afternoon. Ahead of the front, we'll warm into the lower 70s with a lot of humidity.

LANSING, Mich. — Some neighborhoods with very high fire dangers could see flooding as soon as this weekend after two days of heavy rainfall pass through mid-Michigan. Who can expect what. A warm and very moist storm system will move into the Great Lakes from the Gulf of Mexico early Thursday morning through Friday evening. The Gulf moisture that will be present will cause very heavy rainfall rates that will last for a rather long period of time. Some thunderstorms could even be thrown into the mix.

LANSING, Mich. — Blizzard Warning issued for parts of the Upper Peninsula through Wednesday. Some areas will pick up more than two feet of fresh snow with winds gusting near 50 mph at times. Better late than never right? Marquette is a whopping 71" below normal of snowfall for the season. Even though this won't be enjoyed by winter sports enthusiasts, it'll bring some much needed moisture to a drought-stricken area. The entire U.P. is now between abnormally dry and severe drought.

LANSING, Mich. — A mere 100 miles south of our viewing area is under a severe weather threat. This includes strong, long-track tornadoes, as well as damaging wind gusts and very large hail. No threat to Michigan. As our low pressure brings rain to mid-Michigan and heavy snow up north, a significant severe weather outbreak is likely to our south across Indiana, Ohio, and points southward. The threat, unfortunately, includes strong long-track tornadoes. Some of these areas were hit just weeks prior.

LANSING, Mich. — As a very cold late season storms system rolls through Michigan, parts of the state could be buried in a fresh two feet of snow. It goes to show that warm winters can still produce cold springs. A low pressure system bringing wind and rain to mid-Michigan is bringing heavy snow to areas up north. Some places, such at Marquette, will likely see snow accumulate for the better part of two whole days.
