LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Well above average temperatures return Thursday and will remain through the weekend. There might be some showers and thunderstorms Thursday evening and Sunday. Better rain chances and cooler temperatures are in the forecast for the first half of next week. Thursday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, hot, muggy and a bit breezy.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Above average temperatures remain in the forecast for Friday and this weekend. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible at times too. The weather pattern remains active through the first half of next week. There may be some areas of patchy fog to begin Friday. The bulk of the day should be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Isolated showers and thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon and early evening in the eastern half of the area. The chance of rain is 20%.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Temperatures will be a little bit cooler Thursday, but still above average for mid-June. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are going to remain possible each day through the end of the week. Better rain chances are on the horizon for the first half of next week. Thursday looks to be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, a bit breezy and not as hot as Wednesday. Winds should be south at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

Temperatures look to remain below average for one more day before getting back to above average for Friday and the weekend. Decent rain chances look return for the first half of next week. Thursday morning could begin with some areas of fog and drizzle. Otherwise, the first half of the day should be mostly sunny to partly cloudy.
