OSWEGO, N.Y. — Boating Safety Week in New York State will begin soon. If you plan on being on a boat this summer, you'll need to be prepared. The Oswego Fire Department said the most important thing you can do to be prepared is to have a life jacket on standby. You also need to inspect your boat to make sure you are prepared to go into the water. The fire department will be doing a boating safety and water rescue demonstration from May 17 to 23 at the H.
