WSTM-TV (Syracuse, NY)
WSTM-TV is a television station affiliated with NBC, serving the Central Upstate New York region and based in Syracuse. It first went on air as WSYR-TV on February 15, 1950, broadcasting on VHF channel 3. In 1980, the station changed its call letters to WSTM, while WSYR was reassigned to WIXT channel 9 in 2005. The station now transmits a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 24, which appears as virtual channel 3.1 through PSIP. WSTM-TV is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group and shares its ownership with the low-powered CW affiliate WSTQ-LP and CBS affiliate WTVH. Although WTVH is owned by the Granite Broadcasting Corporation, it is operated by Sinclair under joint sales and shared services agreements. All three stations operate from the same studios located on James Street/NY 290 in the Near Northeast area of Syracuse.

But one parent reached out to CNY Central and said her children have been hot in their classrooms in the district. She did not want to be identified, but reached out to the I-Team for help. "Just recently, all of the classrooms were delivered classroom A/C units to plug in. However, they cannot be plugged in," explained the mom of two.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Two victims who appeared to be youngsters were taken by ambulance to Syracuse hospitals Monday evening. Syracuse Police responded to a call just after 8:30 p.m. for a shooting in the street at Hier Avenue and Knaul Street on the city’s northside. Neighbors who saw the aftermath of the crime described one of the victims as a boy as young as eight years old.
