Interstate 40 and I-75 through Knox County could be a contender for "choice lanes," the trendiest traffic solution in Tennessee. With $150 million being invested in improving the interstate, especially near Watt Road and Campbell Station Road, the Tennessee Department of Transportation is going to study whether the Knoxville area would be a good place for choice lanes. Knox Countians are looking for any possible improvements.

Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs said he's frustrated with the three members of the Farragut Mayor and Board of Aldermen who torpedoed the county's plan to handle a steady increase in housing and business development in the coming years.
