ITHACA, N.Y. — It will start feeling like summer this week, as temperatures rise, pop-up showers flourish later in the week, and muggy conditions start to make an appearance. LANSING, N.Y. — Plans to convert a former Lansing factory into housing have undergone some updates since 2023, but are now attempting to move forward with the rezoning and review process. But the last village Board of Trustees meeting, where the latest plans for the site were presented, saw a range of both supportive and oppositional comments from members of the Village of Lansing’s municipal boards.

Cornell University also made a bid to buy the land at 309 College Avenue, but at just over $4.5 million, it was the lower of the two bids.

ITHACA, N.Y. — Sometimes big real estate deals happen, but sometimes they fall through. Back in February, longtime local student housing landlord Pam Johnston put dozens of her properties up for sale, likely amounting to tens of millions of dollars in property value. Johnston has now re-evaluated her options and withdrawn the properties from the market. “I am not selling any of my properties,” Johnston said.
