A man’s body was discovered Sunday afternoon in a backyard pool in East Shoreham, Suffolk police said. The body was found about 4:20 p.m. as the homeowner removed the protective cover from his pool, police said. An autopsy will be conducted by personnel from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity and cause of death of the victim. The man’s identity and cause of death were not immediately known. Homicide detectives are investigating the man’s death.

The two-bedroom, one-bath ranch at 533 Bourdois Ave. was purchased Jan. 30 for $230,000 and relisted on March 20 for $489,000, a 113% markup. The owner is now asking $399,000 after being back on the market for nearly two months.

Jennifer Post Rudolph, a longtime horse riding instructor and professional equestrian, was left a tetraplegic following the accident, which occurred while she was cantering on a horse she was familiar with, her family said.
