    WAUKESHA — A 73-year-old man New Zealand man was fined on Wednesday, nearly six months after he exposed himself in the drive-thru of a Brookfield coffee shop as part of what he said was a challenge. Donald McHaffie, of Christchurch, New Zealand, had been charged with a count of lewd and lascivious behavior. But he pleaded guilty Wednesday to three counts of disorderly conduct, court records show.

Justin Liepert, 35, has pleaded not guilty to counts of child enticement a felony, and three misdemeanor counts of sexual intercourse with a child. He waived a preliminary hearing March 19.

    WAUKESHA — It would appear that crime in Waukesha continued trending in the right direction overall last year, but the community saw stepped-up enforcement of traffic laws in 2024 that led to the most citations being written in the past 10 years. Those are among the general takeaways from the data presented in the Waukesha Police Department’s 2024 Annual Report released recently. The department saw 49,864 computer aided dispatch entries in 2024, up almost 400 from the year earlier.
