John Michael Gomez was booked into Kittitas County Jail just before 8 p.m. April 9. An hour earlier, Gomez was seen speeding on I-90 near Milepost 101 east of Ellensburg. A state trooper parked in the median of the highway said radar showed the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu that Gomez was driving was going 111 mph in a 70 mph zone.

By BRIAN KELLY / DAILY RECORD Two Ellensburg men accused of a drive-by shooting in retaliation for a fight at a college house party the month before pleaded not guilty Thursday in Kittitas County Superior Court. Thomas Richard Sheeley, 20, and Jose Antonio Mora, 19, were arrested March 27 on allegations of drive-by shooting, first- and second-degree mischief, and unlawful discharge of a weapon.
