The mother of a man who died in a struggle with guards at the Yakima County jail sued Friday, accusing the county of neglecting her mentally ill son, killing him and trying to cover up the circumstances of his death. The lawsuit filed by attorneys for the mother,Loan Duong, says the county and its health care contractor failed to properly care for her son, Hien Trung Hua, who was booked into jail during a mental health crisis in 2023.
