Kimberly, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A crash occurred at 3600 East, near Highway 50 around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, authorities are still investigating what happened. While on scene, deputies and the Rock Creek Fire District tracked the tire marks on 3500 east all the way to a truck flipped over inside the canal. The sheriff’s office says the driver of the vehicle fled the accident.

HANSEN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Hansen man is dead following a fatal crash Monday evening. The incident occurred at 3800 North and 4050 East just after 5:30 p.m. The driver of a case tractor/sprayer was eastbound and moved over to give the westbound vehicle some room, according to Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Lori Stewart. Terry Hollifield, 77, was driving a Ford 150 that collided with part of the tractor. His truck left the roadway and landed in a ditch.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Twin Falls County judge sentenced a man last week after pleading guilty to rape and possessing or accessing child sexually exploitative material. Court records show that Judge William Hancock placed Kody Reed, 19, on a rider, in which the Twin Falls County District Court will retain jurisdiction for 365 days.

STANLEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Redfish Lake Recreation Complex is back open after closing due to a wildfire in the area. The Bench Lake Fire started almost three weeks ago, burning about 2,600 acres. Fire crews now have it mostly contained, allowing the complex to reopen over the past few days. The owners say guests started trickling in this week, starting with those who had reservations, followed by the general public on Tuesday.
