    CENTER, Neb. — An ongoing civil investigation in Knox County, Nebraska, could soon be coming to a close.     CENTER, Neb. — A Bloomfield, Nebraska, woman has been sentenced to 5-10 years behind bars for her role in a northeast Nebraska double homicide.     People should be aware that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled dam maintenance work this week. Michael “Moose” Welch, operations project manager of the Gavins Point Project for the Corps of Engineers’ Omaha District, told the Press & Dakotan that the spillway gates at Gavins Point Dam west of Yankton are slated to be open from 6:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday to allow for an underwater inspection project. “All flows through the power plant will be diverted to the spillway,” Welch said.
