BYRON, Ga. — A nine-year-old is dead after she was hit by a car while riding a bike in Byron on Wednesday evening. Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks says she passed away at 6:37 p.m. Thursday. According to the Byron Police Department (BPD), officers were sent to Murdock Lane for reports of a traffic crash involving an SUV and a bicyclist at 5:17 p.m.On the scene, officers found the nine-year-old bicyclist and took her to the Children's Hospital in Macon where she died 24 hours later.

MONTEZUMA, Ga. (WGXA) — A 62-year-old man died after he was hit by a vehicle on Wednesday, according to Macon County Coroner Eddie Hosley. Hosley says the Montezuma Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) of Perry responded to reports of a pedestrian struck on Highway 26 in Montezuma. An incident report from GSP revealed that around 1:31 a.m., a driver was traveling east on Highway 26 in a Chevrolet Silverado.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A man was arrested for stabbing two women Thursday evening. According to Warner Robins Police, it happened at a home on Leisure Lake Drive. A 24-year-old woman had stab wounds and was taken to the hospital, while a 50-year-old woman was treated on the scene for slash wounds.
