GALION — Galion Intermediate School is thrilled to announce that one of its talented 4th-grade students, Lillyana Breckenridge, has been selected to perform with the All-State Children’s Chorus at the upcoming Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Professional Development Conference on February 6, 2025. Lillyana submitted an online audition in May 2024, where she showcased her vocal talents. In September, she was notified of her acceptance to join 130 exceptional young singers across Ohio.

The first-term senator has to resign from his seat before he and President-elect Donald Trump are sworn into office on January 20. Trump and Vance defeated the Democratic presidential candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris, and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, in the Nov. 5 general election.

GALION — The Galion Board of Education met on Tuesday, January 7th. The first order of business was to recognize those students and staff members who exemplify the trait Empathy, as described in the district’s Portrait of a Tiger.
