WARNING: This video contains explicit language. A video posted to Reddit shows a not-so-friendly golf game at a course in West Kelowna. Two Eagles Golf Course Director of Operations Richard Sykes confirmed the altercation happened Monday, April 14. The video shows a group of people throw fists on the green. Sykes said RCMP were called in and handled the situation. None of the facility's staff were involved. A caption on the video suggests one individual suffered a broken jaw.

Over 100 people gathered outside of Kelowna City Hall on April 13 to protest recent actions by city bylaw and Kelowna RCMP at the city designated outdoor sheltering site known as Tent City. The gathered started at 1:30 p.m. with soup and pizza free for those attending, a place to make signs to support the protest, and harm reduction tools available. Erica Stewart was on of the hosts of the rally.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue has located the body and vehicle of a person who was last seen in the area of the Westside Road landslide. COSAR, with the help of Vernon Search and Rescue and a K9 team, started searching for the missing man on April 6 after it was reported he was believed to be driving on Westside Road when the slide occurred.

A former teacher who has been charged with telecommunicating to lure a child under 18, took the stand the fourth day of his criminal trial in Kelowna's provincial court, and said that he feels his messages have been misinterpreted. "The conversation was inappropriate for sure," said Jeffrey Allan Jennens, a former alternative education teacher at Rutland Secondary School (RSS) while on the stand.

The Globe at Big White has announced its last day will be Apr. 6, but owner Ross Derrick isn't leaving the mountain. The restaurant opened in 2008 with Derrick as the executive chef before Derrick later bought the business in 2022. Now the Kelowna chef is excited to rebrand The Globe from its internationally inspired dishes into something truly Canadian just in time for the 2025/26 ski season.
