    A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Westside Road Tuesday afternoon. The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision in the 11000 block of Westside Road around 3:45 p.m. May 13. Police officers, ambulances and the local fire department responded. An investigation determined the  motorcycle was travelling north when it entered a speed wobble and crossed the centre line, colliding head-on with a pickup truck.

The Village of Keremeos and City of Penticton both issued notices warning about the potential disruption from a mail strike.

    The South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services (SOICS) is carrying on the fight against racism with the return of its Confronting the White Elephant forum on May 23. The anti-racism community forum runs from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and is free to attend, however, it does require registration as spaces are limited.
