GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio — Dozens of homeowners in Grandview Heights were sent letters in the mail last week to have their sidewalks repaired in two weeks. On Wednesday, the city of Grandview went around neighbors spraying orange x's on faulty sidewalks. The starting cost to repair one panel is $404. Some homes have multiple x's, resulting in thousands of dollars' worth of repairs. Homeowners Tim and Julia Armstrong were taken off guard after receiving a letter from the city on April 16.

The U.S. Department of Education announced that more than 5 million Americans who have not made payments since March 2020 will be impacted when paused loan collections resume on May 5. COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man is recovering in the hospital after being shot at while driving home from a chemotherapy appointment, in what he believes was an unprovoked attack on Interstate 70. Jesse, who asked to be identified only by his first name, spoke via Zoom from a hospital bed at Grant Medical Center. Though his voice remained steady, his injuries and experience were clearly taking a toll. “The roads are getting worse in Columbus,” Jesse said.
