Given how tiny the market is, its models ranking is extremely volatile. The Fiat Tipo tops the charts this month with a staggering 23.1% share, distancing the Hyundai Bayon at 13.6% and the VW Polo at 10.6%.

The Kia K3 is the best-selling vehicle in Colombia year-to-date. New vehicle sales in Colombia advance 13.8% year-on-year in April to 17,430 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 20.4% to 67,304. Kia (+29%) overtakes Renault (+19.7%) for just two units but remains #2 year-to-date. Mazda (+48.2%) surges ahead and gains two spots on last month to end up on the third step of the podium. In contrast Toyota (-25.4%), #1 a year ago, and Chevrolet (-22.9%) both freefall.

I'm overdue in giving you, InsideEVs reader, my review of the new Audi SQ6 E-Tron. But the top-level takeaway is that I like it a lot. And I think it further proves my theory that every new Volkswagen Group electric vehicle I drive feels like a quantum leap over the last one. The German conglomerate does seem to be figuring this stuff out. Unfortunately, even rapid technical advancement can't save the VW Group from its current headaches.

This is the first time we publish any official data for this country which will be a monthly update from now on. 421 new cars found a buyer in March and 1,301 over Q1. There are many surprises in the models ranking for the month. First, we have not one but two Chinese models on top: the BYD Seagull leads the way with 9.3% share ahead of the BYD Song Plus at 8.8%.
