A developer appears to have taken a bath with a portfolio of rent-stabilized buildings in Washington Heights. Kahen Properties has sold the four multifamily and mixed-use prewar properties that have about 125 units among them to Elysee Investment Corp. for $8.8 million, according to the city register. Kahen, whose principal is Alex Kahen, paid $22.1 million for the quartet in 2018, the register shows, and so appears to have incurred a nearly 60% loss.

A Manhattan penthouse that belonged to a carrot mogul who harvested a huge windfall with the sale of his farm to a buyout firm has found a taker. The late Andre Radandt’s apartment, a 3,700-square-foot condo with a 1,900-square-foot terrace atop a tower in the Meatpacking District, traded for $18 million, according to a deed that appeared in the city register Friday.

If on-again, off-again, on-again tariffs against foreign countries are roiling the city’s tourism industry, the owner of popular skyscraper attraction Summit 1 Vanderbilt isn’t seeing it. SL Green Realty Corp., which owns the observation area on the 73rd-story of Grand Central Terminal-adjacent tower 1 Vanderbilt, says the four-year-old offering set a one-day sales record last week of $500,000 in tickets, said company CEO Marc Holliday on an earnings call Thursday afternoon.

One of the city’s top real estate agents is blasting former employer Douglas Elliman for allegedly trying to stiff her out of about $2 million in a contract dispute that could have larger repercussions. Holly Parker, who decamped to Compass in February after a 24-year run at Elliman, claims in a new lawsuit that her ex-boss is trying to strong arm her into paying back $1.6 million she says was legitimately spent to promote Parker’s business while she was with the company.
