KIRKSVILLE, Mo — Kirksville has a storied athletic history, as many Tigers come in as wide-eyed freshmen looking for glory and leave as champions. But one sport whose banner has remained blank is the girl's soccer team. This talented group of seniors entered the year with one goal: to bring home a championship. "The chemistry that we've had as a team and the like drive of everybody really coming together with the one goal," said Kirksville Senior Defensive Midfielder Zoe Cole.

KIRKSVILLE, Mo — If you want to see the embodiment of hard work and strength, you should stop by Anytime Fitness in Kirksville on a Sunday to see the Special Olympics Powerlifting team workout. Seven lifters show up every week to pour in the sweat needed to be the best they can be. "To kind of get some out of our show a little bit, get some out of their comfort zone," said Special Olympics Power Lifting Coach Justin Briney.

GREEN CITY, Mo. — If you want to see a pillar of consistency, look no further than the Green City baseball team. Since 2018, the Gophers have won seven district title games, five conference championships, five sectional championships, and three final four appearances. At the beginning of the season, their dynasty looked to be finished after a 10-inning loss to Atlanta left them two games under .500 and searching for answers.

MACON, Mo. — When learning to play baseball, every player starts the same way, with a simple game of catch. The relationship between a pitcher and catcher is just that, two friends throwing a ball back and forth. Macon's battery, Seniors Preston Burns and Trey Hatcher has been playing this game of catch since they first put on a glove. Countless hours spent together have helped them build a bond that created one of the best duos in northeast Missouri.

Have a night Mason Morris! Broke the school records for strikeouts in a game with 22, the third most in an extra innings game in Missouri baseball history! He also broke the school records for Ks in a season, not a bad night at the office by the Putnam County senior!!!

Had a great night tonight striking out 22 in 8 1/3 innings, allowing 2 hits and no runs while getting the win. Also set the school record for strikeouts in a single game, and the school record for strikeouts in a season (130) fastball up to 85 and spun the curve well at 72-74.
