ABILENE, Texas — West Texas residents can potentially see a "Blood Moon" late Thursday evening and into Friday morning. A lunar eclipse can be seen starting late Thursday night into early Friday morning if clouds cover allows. This full moon is special because it's a total lunar eclipse called the "Blood Moon." This eclipse gets this title because the moon will appear to look red and orange at the eclipse maximum. The Earth will cross between the sun and the moon, aligning for a period of time.
