Allen Scott, 50, was fatally shot in the 500 block of West McMicken on Feb. 6. About 10 days later, the 17-year-old was arrested and charged with murder in his death. Mardasia Forte, 7, is believed to have accidentally drowned in a retention pond near the Lakota Lake apartment complex in West Chester Township, according to a coroner's office news release. West Chester Township police responded to the apartment complex around 11:30 a.m. after receiving a report about a missing child, officials said in a statement that day.
