Integrated communications advisory firm Edelman has laid off 300 employees across its global network - 5.3% of its total workforce. In tandem, it will sunset the Edible, Revere, Salutem, Mustache, EGA and Delta brands. It will however maintain two client specific entities - Assembly for Microsoft and Kinisi for J&J. Meanwhile, Conflicts will be managed by its sister company Zeno and RUTH. DXI, Smithfield and UEG will be connective tissue between Edelman and Zeno in the DJE family.

IPG Mediabrands, the media holding company within Interpublic Group, had named Darren Yuen (pictured left), former CEO Initiative Malaysia, to the elevated role of CEO IPG Mediabrands Malaysia. The announcement comes following the news that long-standing CEO of IPG Mediabrands Malaysia, Bala Pomaleh (pictured right) made the decision to leave the business to focus on the next stage of his career. Pomaleh joined IPG Mediabrands from Carat in 2016.

Grey Hong Kong has promoted Rick Kwan (pictured) to executive creative director, effective from 1 December. In this newly created role, Kwan will further elevate the agency’s creativity and reputation among its clients, said a spokesperson from Grey in a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
