Koreatown congee spot Mountain and its sibling Mountain Noodles both quietly closed a few weeks ago, but now they’ve reemerged like a soup-based Transformer as a new restaurant combining both concepts—plus Korean barbecue—under one roof. The warehouse-y third-floor space in Koreatown Plaza has giant air vents and a big menu of grilled meats, noodle soups, and of course, the signature abalone porridge from the original Mountain. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

This pizzeria in Silver Lake is the second location of DTLA’s Pi LA, and it features a rooftop patio where you can eat thick square pies with wild topping combinations. The Seoul Kitchen is covered with pork belly, shiitake mushrooms, asian pear, and kimchi-tomato sauce, and the Mr. Frenchy has potato gratin and truffle gruyère. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

After debuting in Los Feliz a few months ago, this bagel shop from the Bay Area now has another LA location in DTLA’s Bradbury building. The menu has the same New York-style bagels with various shmears, lox sandwiches, and rotating specials, but the interior here is slightly larger (and more pleasing to architecture enthusiasts). We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

The name might sound like an Etsy shop, but Boho Burgers & Brats is the newest food stand inside Culver City’s Citizen Public Market. The walk-up concept channels biergarten energy with beer-braised bratwurst topped with sauerkraut and mustard, patty melts, and giant pretzels with three-cheese fondue. Wash it all down with a stein of German beer or a glass of natural wine. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

No, it’s not a protein shake shop—Men & Beasts is a Chinese tea lounge and vegan dim sum spot originally from Miami. Located in the former home of Cosa Buona, the concept serves various fruity, floral, and roasted teas in a traditional tea ceremony format, alongside plant-based dishes like salt and pepper “wings,” zhajiangmian, kung pao tofu, and pan-fried dumplings. There’s also beer and wine if you want something stronger than steeped leaves.
