IOWA CITY − With the Arcadia American Legion mostly cleared out following the festive April 29 Carroll Area I-Club event that welcomed more than 500 Hawkeye fans, a now-familiar face in our state was still there, quietly helping to put away tables and stack chairs. IOWA CITY − With any conversation surrounding offense and the Iowa football program, any notions of positivity are naturally met with pump-the-brakes skepticism. That’s fair. And, frankly, necessary with so much scar tissue from so many years of offensive dormancy. But as each day passes and as we learn more about what’s in store for second-year offensive coordinator Tim Lester, it seems more plausible that the Hawkeyes’ offense might actually be (gasp) good in 2025.
