"I have not been this close to a tornado or been in one, so I am still in shock," Colton said. Saturday, friends and family gathered at the Colton family home to clean up debris from the storm. LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Those with young children understand that finding, and affording childcare comes with challenges. First Five Nebraska, an organization dedicated to creating policies to fix those hurdles, worked alongside lawmakers to pass several bills this past session. The organization says it was called on by the governor to create policies that will contribute to the healthy care of children in the Good Life state.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The vacant building on the corner of 13th and L streets will now house the non-profit helping to clothe children across the Lincoln School District. Volunteers with The White Cane Foundation helped to put down roots for the budding initiative. They pulled out weeds and planted new flowers alongside the building. “I’m just so grateful for the people who have stepped up, we wouldn’t be here without them, my heart is full,” said Kelly Lauer, co-founder.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - For those in southeast Lincoln, the Pink House on the corner of Crestline Drive and Sumner Street was a notable sight. The bright pink home was the center of the neighborhood talk for nearly 75 years, but now it has a new look. The Pink House isn’t pink anymore, but the realtor group that worked with the family said working on the home was an experience they will never forget. They wanted to share some of the highlights of the home before the renovation.
