Warren James, in the Chantry Centre, has not responded to comment, but the sign outside its unit announcing a "closing down sale" said it was "due to end of lease." The Andover branch of the UK-wide jewellery chain will close on Saturday, May 17. According to another sign, the store remains open despite its shutters being broken.

Officers patrolling rural areas near Andover stopped an SUV-type vehicle on Weyhill Road, Weyhill, at around 3am on Thursday, May 8. A search of the vehicle uncovered 26 rainbow trout, as well as catapults and fishing equipment, with no evidence of correct licensing provided. The four men, all from Wales, were subsequently arrested.
