According to officials with the Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue Center (SCAARC), they received a call regarding dogs in a red-tagged home on the 4200 block of West 23rd Street in Sioux City. SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — On Friday, the City of Sioux City invited residents, businesses, schools, and community groups to the annual Sioux City Litter Dash. The litter cleanup event aims to help beautify the Siouxland community and reduce the impact of litter on the environment. Around 600 volunteers were split into different sections of Sioux City to pick up as much litter as they could while trying to reach a goal of collecting four to five tons.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A local music festival is returning to Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) pretty soon. WITCC’s student radio station, KWSR 94.3 FM, along with the Mass Communications program and Student Activities, is organizing this year’s Witstock Music Festival. The event takes place on April 30 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at parking lot 1 on the college campus.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A nationally recognized sub sandwich shop opened its doors in Sioux City on Wednesday. The first Jersey Mike’s Subs location in the city held a grand opening at 3070 Floyd Boulevard. Business began at 10 a.m., and there was a long line of customers. One Sioux City resident said people may have to wait a bit to get a sub sandwich. “Oh man, I’m really excited to get in there,” resident Gavin Montanez said.
