    YANKTON, S.D. (KCAU) — A new months-long construction project is underway on U.S. Highway 81. According to the South Dakota Department of Transportation, the construction is taking place between the city of Yankton and South Dakota Highway 46. The project includes resurfacing the asphalt shoulders and the four-lane divided roadway just north of Yankton. Phase one of concrete surfacing will start next Monday, April 28, resulting in two-way traffic to be placed in the northbound lanes.

According to a release, the department will hold a tree planting event at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 25. It will take place outside and to the west of the Seaboard Triumph Foods Expo Center. If the weather is a factor, then it will be held inside the expo center.

As a result of today's events, vigilantism in service of private property and white supremacy will be encouraged and popularized, but don't be mistaken - it is not a new thing. It has been around in the US for centuries.
