There is a large contingent of Dynasty Warriors fans whose first serious gaming memories will be centred around this franchise. They probably booted up that newly bought PS2 and loaded up Dynasty Warriors 2. As younger gamers, what greeted them wasn't the blocky, low framerate and terrible view distance reality, but instead the imagination of huge battlefields, massive armies, a memorable set of characters and the feeling of winning important victories.

A man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic where he is due to stand trial for a number of offences. Police said the 37-year-old man was extradited today and is sought to stand trial for offences of possession of child pornography and sexual communication with a child. They said the offences occurred in the Wexford area of the Republic back in 2021. The man was arrested in Northern Ireland on August 20, 2024 by officers from the Police Service’s International Policing Unit.

Police said the incident happened in the Westlink area of Belfast in the early hours of this morning. They said a Mini Cooper car was seen driving “erratically” before being signalled to pull over. They said the car drove on despite the instructions from police before entering the Westlink and hitting another car.

In an update on Thursday evening, NIFRS said over 50 firefighters are tackling the blaze in the Corrick Road area of Draperstown. In a statement a NIFRS spokesperson said: “NIFRS are currently in attendance at a large gorse fire at Corrick road, Draperstown. “Fire appliances from Maghera, Magherafelt, Cookstown & Dungiven are in attendance supported by a command unit from Kilrea and specialist wildfire officers. “A total of 54 personnel are attending the incident.
