    PERU — Bromley Mountain Resort is introducing Trailhead Thursdays as a way to get the community together on a weekly basis. The event starts June 5 and will run through Aug. 21., with the climb from the base to the summit to begin at 6 p.m. "It's a weekly group trail run or hike," said Steve Gabriel, marketing coordinator at Bromley. "Any pace is welcome." Gabriel said the vertical distance is about 1,283 feet or 3.39 miles. The Trailhead in the Sun Lodge will be open for food.

"We try to bring community members in and show everybody a good time," said Amy Duffy, garden coordinator at NewBrook Elementary.
