    BRATTLEBORO — Burton Clark Jr. shot his brother-in-law in self defense, his attorney said Monday as Clark's trial for the attempted murder began in Windham Superior Court. The  trial  of the Rockingham man began with three Vermont State Police troopers taking the stand, identifying bloody photographs taken that night from the troopers' body cameras and identifying two handguns found at the scene.
