GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - 2026 will be another busy election year in Wisconsin. The headliner will be the race for governor. Tony Evers may abdicate the mansion, he has yet to announce if he will run for a third term. So far, just one republican has officially entered the race, Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann, who was in Appleton on Monday. A lot is yet to be determined, but we wanted to dive into the early chess moves in this race.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A new partnership in higher education aims to fill critical voids in Northeast Wisconsin. On Monday, UW Green Bay and Lakeshore College announced their new “Forward” collaboration, this will allow teaching and nursing students to complete their 4-year educations close to home, utilizing UWGB’s Sheboygan campus. GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - If you are at the Draft Saturday, you may recognize a familiar face on stage. Tom Grossi, who was named the NFL Fan of the Year in 2023, will announce a draft pick for the green and gold on Saturday. We spoke to him earlier this year when he did a continuous live stream until he raised $1 million for the Fallen Patriots charity. Among the things he will be doing this week, Grossi will also hold a fan meet up on Saturday in collaboration with Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - In his rehab appearance with the Timber Rattlers, Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff got in 4 innings of work. Across his 4 innings, Woodruff gave up 3 earned runs on 6 hits and 3 walks, but did manage to get 3 strikeouts as well across 68 pitches. He was charged with the loss in the 8-4 defeat. It was Woodruff’s second rehab start this season in his return from shoulder surgery after going for 3.2 innings and 66 pitches earlier this week for AAA Nashville.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - With so many people expected to congregate in one spot, local health agencies are putting out reminders, especially when it comes to measles. Measles has seen 712 cases already this year in the United States, more than double the cases all last year when there were 285. According to the CDC, 97% of this year’s cases are among people who aren’t vaccinated or don’t know their vaccination status.
