SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Those of you who are on the roads late at night, be mindful of this upcoming closure. The New York State Department of Transportation is letting drivers know that East Seneca Turnpike (State Route 173) will be closed to traffic between East Brighton Avenue and South Salina Street in the City of Syracuse, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., weeknights. The closure will begin Monday, June 23, through Saturday, June 28, and Monday, June 30, through Thursday, July 3.

Mac, a wallaby at G&G Animals wildlife sanctuary, escaped on Sunday afternoon, June 15. “She is something very special to us. So we’re really hoping that we find her soon because I’m exhausted and I am not sleeping,” said Dan Oostdyk, owner of G&G Animals.

OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — There is a piece of Australia on the loose in Oswego County. Mac, a wallaby at G&G Animals wildlife sanctuary, escaped around 6 p.m. on June 15. The last time the marsupial — which looks like a small kangaroo — was seen was between the sanctuary’s property on Tug Hill Road and Ontario Orchards. Drones are being used to find her, but it is believed that she is in hiding.

He is said to be a 6’3″ black male with black hair, brown eyes, and weighing about 150 lbs. Beauford has an active arrest warrant for robbery in the 2nd degree, police say. His warrant stems from an incident on June 2 on E.
