SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Allergy season is in full swing in Central New York, and this year seems to be packing a real punch of pollen. “Currently, we’re transitioning from tree pollen, and the grass pollens are really starting to rear their heads out in the air,” said Dr. Haidy Marzouk, MD, an ENT at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Dr. Marzouk added that Syracuse is high in terms of pollen counts — which all comes back to the heavy snowfall we had this past winter.
