According to KRPC 2 Sports' Aaron Wilson, the Florida rookie quarterback and Houston have agreed to terms on a four-year deal, keeping him in the AFC South through 2026. Another Houston Texans player has signed his rookie contract. According to KRPC 2 Sports' Aaron Wilson, the Texans and Rutgers defensive tackle Kyonte Hamilton have agreed to a four-year deal worth $4.81 million, keeping him in Houston through the 2028 season. Hamilton and a seventh-round pick for the Texans' defensive line, will earn a $138,328 signing bonus with base salaries of $840,000, $1.058 million, $1.277 million and $1.495 million through 2028.

Jayden Higgins is locked up for the long haul with the Houston Texans. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Texans and the second-round pick have agreed to a four-year rookie contract, though that's only one part of the deal. After moving down nine spots in the draft with the New York Giants, Houston is giving Higgins a fully guaranteed $11.7 million contract, marking the first time ever a second-round pick has gotten a fully guaranteed contract.

Add another rookie to the Houston Texans minicamp squad Friday afternoon. According to the Texans' transaction list, the Texans were awarded rookie linebacker Jackson Woodard off waivers. A former starter at UNLV, Woodard initially signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted rookie, but was following rookie minicamp earlier this week.
