    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Almost a year after New Haven Police shot and killed a man in a Moeller Road mobile home park, WANE 15 obtained the video from the body-worn police camera on Wednesday. The video shows a New Haven officer shooting Robert A. Vicena, 37, after he lunged at police with a knife. The shooting was investigated by both New Haven police and Indiana State Police.

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — While a recent study by the Lown Institute said many non-profit hospitals in Indiana receive more money in tax breaks than they spent on “meaningful community investment,” three hospital systems in Northeast Indiana rejected the findings. Using 2020-2022 data, the report listed IU Health Methodist Hospital with the largest deficit in Indiana and eighth worst in the country, receiving almost $129 million more in tax exemptions than it spent back into the community.

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — In June, members of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne ages 18 and older can have access to another 24-hour facility. The Parkview Family YMCA, 10001 Dawsons Creek Blvd. off Dupont Road on the northwest side of Fort Wayne, will allow members who add 24-hour access to use the wellness center and the track around the clock. The YMCA website says 24-hour access will cost an additional $4.99 per person per month.
