FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Another step forward was made Friday for the East Central neighborhood in Fort Wayne. Pilgrims Progress Community Development Corp. selected a design for their public garden. The public garden is on a plot of land at the corner of Gay St. and Eliza St. Pilgrims Progress Community Development Corp. went through a process where local youth had the opportunity to submit their concept, and the Corp. narrowed it down to six finalists.

GermanFest 2025 kicks off one week from Thursday, with four days packed with family fun!The tapping of the keg with Fort Wayne Sharon Tucker will begin the festivities on Thursday, June 5, at 6 p.m. German food, entertainment, vendors, and family activities are among the many traditions at GermanFest. Eric Nau, President of GermanFest said they will not be offering beer flights at the festival this year.
