And recently with new installations USU has expanded its on-campus solar energy production. Partnering with Castle Gate Engineering, a nearly 500 kilowatts installation was placed on the roof of the Stan Laub Indoor Practice Facility and more than 150 kilowatts were added to the existing 180-kilowatt system on the Gateway Parking Structure.

    LOGAN - Cache County residents anxious to return to school to pursue a graduate degree now have the help they need. Tuesday Utah State University’s School of Graduate Studies launched the which is designed to ease the financial burden of a return to school. The scholarship, aimed at those living in Cache County, offers 50 percent tuition coverage for two quarters and a $500 living stipend per semester. Candidates may apply through the Scholarship Universe portal beginning July 1.

    LOGAN - Utah State University Interim President Al Smith was not surprised at the results of a new report which details USU’s significant economic contributions to Utah. The report, commissioned by the Utah System of Higher Education, indicates that in 2023 USU supported more than 17,000 jobs, $1.0 billion in earnings and $1.4 billion in gross domestic product. Smith said it is a powerful reminder that investing in higher education’s investing in Utah.
