WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) John Carpenter who was born in Carthage, and raised in Kentucky was honored with a star on the walk of fame on Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles. I watched the live feed coverage yesterday, April 3. Several of Carpenter’s friends who were also co-workers on his films made an appearance and spoke on his behalf. Kurt Russell, star of one of Carpenter’s best films, The Thing (1982).
