    COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- Out of the SC State House, the clock is ticking on this year’s legislative session, which ends today May 8, 2025. Lawmakers are still finalizing the state’s 14.4 billion dollar budget plan, which is set to go into effect July 1. The budget proposed includes a $1,500 raise for all teachers and a pay raise for legislators. Among other bills lawmakers have not yet passed, the Hate Crime bill and Energy reform bill.
