It's great news for special schools across Cork as therapy services have been secured for the upcoming academic year. Students will have access to occupational therapy and speed and language services from September, and the scheme will be rolled out in mainstream schools in the coming years. Once fully established, the new national therapy scheme is expected to provide access to other key services, such as physiotherapy.

Irish actor Colin Farrell has spoken about the difficult decision he and his wife took for their son's future, admitting that he had to place him in a facility for long-term care. The acclaimed actor shared that his son was initially misdiagnosed with cerebral palsy, and now Colin has spoken out on the whole ordeal. Thankfully, the diagnosis was eventually corrected when doctors realised James actually has Angelman syndrome.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supplies for customers in East Cork following a water mains burst. Emergency crews have been dispatched to repair the fault, which has left homes in Cloyne, Shanagarry, Garryvoe and the surrounding areas without running water. Work is scheduled to be wrapped up at 7 pm this evening. Once the works conclude, customers have been advised that it may take another three or four hours before supply is fully restored.
