Wexford 5-23, Antrim 2-21 Antrim's target of going one better than the semi final stages of the Tailteann Cup, in which they figured in the past couple of years, came to an abrupt halt at Chadwick's Park where Wexford blew they away with a five goal bombardment. There may have been only 11 points between the sides in this preliminary quarter final but those five goals leaked brought their not pretty season to a close, having previously been relegated to grade four of National League football.

Coleraine were defeated in the All Ireland Senior Cup on Sunday by five time winners North County. In the end it was an easy six wicket victory, achieved on a very cold day with several rain interruptions. Full story in Tuesday's paper.

In front of a good crowd Strabane Athletic won their third trophy of the season on Thursday evening by defeating Dunloy by the odd goal in three in the Crawford Cup final. This brought the season to a close on the playing front with the next event being the League AGM which will be held in the Chimney Corner Social Club on Monday June 23.

With a delayed start caused by showers and wet roads earlier in the day, the final race of the 2025 Isle of Man TT Races - the prestigious Milwaukee Senior TT - was set to get underway at 19:00 on Saturday, 7th June. Conditions around the course were brightening as solo competitors set off for the Course Inspection Lap at 18:00. However, upon return, a number of competitors indicated concerns regarding course conditions.
